The famous Olympic Studio in Barnes was sold to a local resident and exciting new developments have been designed for the site by Henley Halebrown Rorrison Architects. The new owner has decided to retain the building’s unique history by returning the studio building to its former glory as a thriving local cinema; Olympic Cinema opened in 2011 and includes a café and a private member’s area. The remainder of the land, which was a playing field, is being developed into a new family home with surrounding gardens.
Olympic Cinema has two cinema auditoriums; the existing main auditorium roof was dropped to allow office space to be incorporated above the two new cinemas.
