Director Mervyn Rodrigues has consulted on a number of high profile, award-winning buildings and brings a wealth of experience to each project. Mervyn takes an active lead in all design undertaken by Rodrigues Associates and places particular importance on initial design conversations with clients and architects, where the future of the project is often determined. His breadth of experience is a valuable resource to clients and with a wide range of contacts throughout the building industry he is able to advise architects on new materials, techniques and technologies to aid the design process.
Prior to setting up his own practice Mervyn was a director at Peter Dann Limited and principal senior engineer at Ove Arup working on a variety of complex and prestigious projects such as the Glyndebourne Opera House, which received the British Design Award for Structural Masonry Design in 1994, Great Ormond Street Orangery which won a RIBA Award in 2005 and Westlake House which has featured on Grand Design.
