The structure consists of 114mm diameter x 6.3mm CHS sections continuously welded and supported by 50mm diameter solid bars through welded to the 114mm diameter CHS sections. The moment continuity between 114mm diameter and 50mm diameter sections provides lateral and torsional stability to the structure. The foundations consist of 450mm diameter (590mm outside diameter) concrete pipe sections infilled with concrete and reinforced. The foundations provide bearing and also counterbalance to the structure. The structure is designed for wind load, which is minimal given the small cross section of the structural elements, and a single point load of 70kg suspended from any part of the structure.
